EXBoss is built around one goal: making its Mythic+ experience as strong as possible.
We are not currently pursuing raid development. For raids, we recommend DBM or BigWigs.
Why are raids not being developed at this time?
If all we could offer were basic raid features with no additional refinement—and substantially less complete functionality than mature tools such as NSRT—that would not match the development goals of EXBoss.
We do not believe players should use an addon in raids when it has not been optimized for raids and its development is explicitly focused on Mythic+. Merely being able to run in a raid is not the experience we want to deliver.
Rather than maintain a basic but incomplete raid feature set, we prefer to focus our time and effort on Mythic+.
Wasn't raid support previously planned?
Yes. It was part of the original plan. Once development began, however, the complexity of raid boss timelines, the adaptation work, and the testing cost all exceeded our expectations. Doing it properly would require a substantial investment of time.
At this stage, we do not have a defined raid development plan and raids are not a development priority. We apologize to players who were looking forward to raid support.
What should I use for raids?
We currently recommend DBM or BigWigs, with NSRT as needed. The basic raid functionality currently present in EXBoss is not our recommended raid solution.
For questions about incomplete raid coverage, missing alerts, or future raid plans, this article is the current answer. There is no confirmed update plan or completion date.
How do I completely disable EXBoss in raids?
- Open the EXBoss addon settings.
- Find and enable the “Completely disable raids” option.
- Let DBM, BigWigs, or NSRT handle your raid alerts.
Once enabled, EXBoss does not perform any work while you are in a raid, making it easier to use another raid addon.
